Bottom Line: If your into mad grinding than play this game.
I recently downloaded this game and had high hopes for it. I stoked about the fact that it ventures of the beaten MMORPG path and creates a fantasy world that I have always dreamed of participating in. When I first heard of the game I assumed that it was akin to Jade Empire and thought that the fights would be done in real time but much to my dismay the fighting is the traditional MMORPG setup of point and click which is alright for some games but really doesn't work for this game. The best thing about the game is actually the graphics which are good (even if it wasn't a free2play game) and the character animations are actually very fluid and enjoyable to watch. The thing that is not so great however is the gameplay. Firstly the controls are very clunky and you are only able to point and click on a part of the landscape to move there (there are no w,a,s,d movement keys). Now this would be fine (Guild Wars is able to pull the point and click off fine) but the camera has too much movement making it difficult to see where you are going or if you are fighting enemies who you are attacking. The online community for the most part is pretty unresponsive as everyone is preoccupied with playing their own game rather than helping you out. The thing that is most frustrating is the fact that the quests seem to dry up fairly quickly and the game suddenly becomes a massive grind-fest which would n't be all that bad if the gameplay was there. All in all though I would have to say 9Dragons ironically is the one of the better free2play MMORPGs I have played. So if you are looking for a game to satisfy your MMO addiction and you don't want to drop 10-15 bucks a month then try it. But if you are looking for a game that is deep, fun or engaging, look somewhere else.
