Achaea
Achaea is a MUD game that delivers much in the way of gameplay and also allows for a great degree of flexibility in the development of the story. The game is geared toward actual role-play and so is for an audience that is more interested than character development than it is in stats crunching and grinding. In Achaea you start of with many different classes and races to choose from and then are thrust into the world where you can befriend others and join clans or look for quests from NPC characters. Achaea is incredibly deep and complex and should definitely be tried at least once by those that are into actual role-play.

Bottom Line: Great game for those that are interested in role-play and story elements. Achaea is a great text-based MUD RPG that is geared towards gamers that have more desire to go out and create their own story than have the story spoon fed to them. The game is for role-players that want to create a detailed character and develop that character in a complex and intricately designed world. There are many different things that make Achaea an immensely multi-layered game such as the ability to join clans, participate in the politics and the economy and do various quests (and of course the occasional grind). Achaea is a game that offers a lot if you are willing to use your imagination. Play it at least once it won't be a game you regret playing.
