Catan

Catan is based off of a best-selling board game from Germany where players gather and trade resources in order to build settlements and expand their control over the land of Catan. The board is constructed of hexagonal tiles which are randomly placed in a large hexagon surrounded by water. Numbers are then placed on the hexagonal land tiles. Players take turns rolling dice which decide which land tiles produce resources that turn. Any player with a settlement or city adjacent to the tiles which number has been rolled will recieve resources which they can use to expand their colony. Distributed over XBox Live, Catan bares a 10 dollar price tag.

Overall Rating: exceptional

Bottom Line: A great, classic strategy game.
I remember playing the original board game when I was only five... It was a game that my family owned, and still owns. The game is equally as good on the 360, if not better, as the dice rolls seem to be more... Realistic. (Rolling six or so 4's and no 6's or 8's in the beginning of the game is a bit aggrivating) The game is a very good strategy game, and the computers are actually a bit of a challenge. A good list of rule-bending features, and overall a great game, I'd say it's well worth the cost.
