Commandos 2: Men of Courage
The sequel to the '98 Commandos:Behind Enemy Lines left the tactics of the original game mostly intact, but "tightened it up on the graphics".
Set in different battle arenas in WWII, you play a slection of crack commandos, each with his or her own qualities.Jack "Butcher" O'Hare is huge, knows how to wield a knife and isn't afraid to use it (Green Beret);
Rene "Frenchy" Duchamp can infiltrate the German ranks and drug people (Spy);
Thomas "Fireman" Hancock can locate, disarm and replace mines and other explosive devices (Sapper);
James "Fins" Blackwood can infiltrate over land, but better yet: under water (Marine);
Samuel "Brooklyn" is your regular Joe. Except that he likes to play with grenades (Driver);
Sir Francis T. "Duke" Woolridge remains self-controlled at all times: even when he puts a bullet through your skull at a thousand paces (Sniper);
Natascha "La Seductora" Nikochevski: long legs, pucker lips, sexy clothes and a .45: you're always going to be in heaven (Temptress);
Paul "Lupin" Toledo is a regular circusact. Only he uses it to climb into your house and take you out (Thief).
and finally, Whiskey the dog. Faithful, playful, but watch out for the carpet!
In C2:MOH, there are 8 missions that take you all over the world: From the North Pole to India to gay Paris. Each mission takes place in a sandbox area filled with enemies, setting you different goals. Goals might be to gain control over a airplane, to rescue prisoners, to blow up a bridge and even save the Eiffeltower!
Not all characters are available in all missions, so it's your job to pick a strategy. Have Fins swim in and take out the guards so that the Sapper can take out the mines in order for Frenchy to distract the guards so that Lupin can steal the documents is just one of the many options you have. Going in all guns blazing is never a good idea. Finished a level? Now try it without shooting anyone!
Next to the missions there are puzzle pieces hidden throughout the levels. Search every house, every crate and you will find the piece of a photograph that will help you unlock a bonus level. It's these kind of elements that will make you replay this game over and over again...
