Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles
Square's first game for a Nintendo console since the days of the Super NES takes the lush fantasy world from the Final Fantasy franchise and adds-in Gauntlet-style four-player action. The game does away with traditional experience points and instead focuses on action-oriented combat with a unique co-op slant. Up to three friends can join in on the quest, by using Game Boy Advance units connected to the GameCube as controllers. While all the main action takes place on the screen, the GBAs enable the players to access menus, organize their spell spheres, and perform upgrades without slowing down the action.

Bottom Line: It depends. If you don't think about Final Fantasy So you buy it, go home and take the plastic off. You pop it into your console and expect a great Final Fantasy RPG experience...WRONG! The first thing you have to do to start enjoying this game is to completely scratch off the Final Fantasy branding and see it as a game on its own.
There's a huge emphasis on teamwork, whether it's as simple as healing each other's wounds, working together to unleash a devastating magic attack, or solving puzzles. The magic and experience system has been reinvented -- and there's finally an admirable use of the GBA/GCN connectivity, which allows you to mange items without pausing the game. If you're looking for a good hack'n slash and want to play with a buddy over a GBA, this is a refreshing game from all of the rest out there. You'll either like it or hate it. I liked it because of the teamwork element. Learning Curve: Takes a while
