Loved the multiplayer in this for the PC.

I'm just now getting into this (now that it's out on the PC), but I gotta say it's hilarious that the main character is voiced by the same guy who did Bender on Futurama.

Another treasure for my collection, I'm glad I've experienced it with a friend, thus playing it from beginning to the end in cooperative mode. Had such a blast doing so, that I don't even play it on my own nowadays!

Story wise, it's nothing out of this world, but with the cutscenes, the frenetic action, the environments, sounds, graphics, violence, drama, characters... it all brews into a cocktail of pure geniality, leaving its taste in our mouth for ages to come.

It definetly sets a new standard for third person shooters, any owner of the 360 with interest in such genre doesn't deserve to pass this game up.

Just got a 360 plus this game. Damn I wish I could I afford a HDTV now...

Ok so the game looks great, but its hella short and bland.

I love this game. It doesn't require a lot of thinking and its a good game to just wind down with, especially with friends.

It's fun, has a incredible graphic level and an addictive online multiplayer. It's probably the best game of 360 and Next-Gen. But isn't a Master Piece...

After finally playing the multiplayer I have to say it's my least favorite aspect. Lots of shooting at someone for an hour and then having them regenerate everything. I can't stand regeneration in a game where it already takes forever to kill someone.

The singleplayer co-op campaign provided me with tons of fun however.

The campaign story mode rocks, but the multiplayer component is pure, unadulterated... crack.

This game was a lot of fun and it certainly delivered on its built up hype

Mindless violence and great graphics with lots of blood.
What more can you ask for?

While this game is nothing new, and pretty short in single player it's still great.

I will absalutly NEVER get tired of the chainsaw bayonet!

Agree that the Story was short. I just think that this game was not designed to sell for its story, but multi-player and graphics. Which it was clearly able to do.

Had a blast playing this game, beat it all three times.

Graphics are dark but you can turn your brightness up. But this is an amazing game. The mutiplayer mode also makes this a very big game. Coop is fun and the online battles are also very enjoyable.

I enjoyed doing the co-op mode however the game can be beaten within 6 hours. At some parts I found the graphics too dark.

What can be said that hasn't? This game is just plain fun. Will be fun to see if everyone else follows suit with making cover important to subsequent FPSes (or 3PSes).

This is the top xbox 360 game to own right now. Its unique duck and cover system allows for fast and furious close combat as well as long range sniper battles. The single player and co-op have a great story and will keep you entertained for 8 or more hours of gameplay if your a PRO. Multi-player is spectacular and team work is the key to success. As of Jan '07 it is sitting at the top the the xbox live charts and has been updated to fix the gameplay bugs that plagued many users. In addition the Discovery channel has just sponsored the free release of two new multi-player maps (Old Bones and Raven Down), and a new theme for your xbox 360. If you don't own a 360 yet this is your reason to get one ... or at least rent one. The only thing that could trump this game in '07 is the release of Halo 3.

Awesome... I got it for christmas, and I'm savouring it by playing it slowly...

The cover system I found "too sticky". I'd often end up sticking to a wall I didn't want to get cover behind.

Apart from its linear structure, I really enjoyed Gears a lot. It builds its foundation on the classic shooter and takes it further with a very well-designed cover system, better-than-average enemy AI, and some of the most eye-popping and jaw-dropping visuals you have ever seen in a game of this type.

Single player is very short, but there is endless fun to be had in multi player. Gears is easily the game to own if you want to show off what your 360 can do.

I was kinda disappointed when i finished the game in about 6 hours at the same day i actually bought it. Later played some co-op which was way better.

the single player is pretty bad. the co-op is pretty fun though. the multiplayer is very addictive, and the cover system is unique (wait for all the copycat games to come out soon)

I liked the hectic fun you got from running from cover to cover and coming up behind enemies but that got repetitive quick and the camera made me queasy. But the multiplayer was entertaining, wish I could see it online.

First i must learn how to submit videos....Hmmm, anybody know how to record high quality vid in game on your 360? that would make my day ^_^
