You start the game in 1906, and Dr Hebble Gate, the visionary scientist and father of modern technology, has vanished mysteriously. Playing as one of 2 members of the Gun Valkyrie fire team, its your mission to find out what has happened to the doctor, and find out why the colonists of Tir Na Nog have vanished.
The two available characters are Saburuto and Kelly, Saburuto is slightly slower, in the air ond on foot, but has a more powerful primary weapon, Kelly is faster, more manouverable but lacks the punch of her partners Matchcannon.
The gameplay look at first to be a typical 3rd person action adventure, sticks to move and look, triggers to fire so far so 3rd person-y,at least until you start using the jetpack.
This device is how you will get through the game, by clicking the left stick you will be thrust upwards, at least until the boost meter drains, then you will glide back down to the planets surface, however its far more complex than just up and down.
By clicking th stick then moving it up, down, left and right you will travel in that direction, every time you stop, the meter will re-fill. The trick is to keep yourself airborn for as long as possible using the limited boost available. Once you have the hang of this, the game is still incredibly tough and with 10 missions to complete it wont be done in a hurry, if at all.
