Last Dawn
Last Dawn is a survival game about surviving in a zombie infested world. Taking place from a side-on perspective the game features many elements of both platform and action games. The game focuses around the day/night cycle, hence the name, where the player scavenges supplies during the day when zombies are less common, then returns to base at night to defend from the zombie hordes. This game was made for the 2007 Nullarbor game development competition.

Bottom Line: Awesome freeware indie work Very cool game.
It doesn't get any better for less than 2mb. You can download the game quickly, unzip, and enjoy. Size aside, Last Dawn does has some really cool features. The graphics are catchy and inspired - you'll be able to watch the shadows in order to know when to retreat to your base. There's a stylish 3d feel with the parallel scrolling backgrounds. The game transitions from day to night in real time. Overall, graphics are incredible. The gameplay isn't as strong as the graphics, but its still pretty good. The controls are well thought out, and the aiming is just dandy. Your AI buddies will be able to shoot better than you, so they are good to have around. There also multiple weapons, but they aren't too different except for rate of fire. Overall, Last Dawn is a great download. Sure, it doesn't feel like its totally completed, but it is still good.
