Bottom Line: Play it! This is a solid little strategy game. The various character classes and attributes, substantial list of spells, and long line of opponents pack a lot of replay value in.
There's a bit of a 'technical' learning curve at the beginning (lots of buttons, lots of icons, lots of things to keep track of), but once you've got the knack of the UI the real fun of learning how to develop a strategy against various opponents kicks in -- obsessively. I'd like to pretend this was a 'casual' game, and I could pick it up, play for a quick 10 minute duel, and put it down, but the truth is, every time I pick it up it turns into a compulsion to play match after match.
