Rockets!
Rockets! is a puzzle game based on Newtonian physics. In each of the 16 missions the player is required to construct a rocket out of a number of different components in order to complete certain objectives. These can range from getting the rocket to a certain height, to hitting a sequence of targets, to special "firework" missions that involve completing all the required objectives before the rocket's fuel runs out and it explodes.
The game is heavily based on Newtonian physics. The components chosen will alter the rocket's thrust, mass, and wind resistance, all of which will make the difference between mission completion and failure. The player must choose their rockets' components wisely lest the rocket not take off at all!

Bottom Line: If you like to tinker with things, this is the game for you. Rockets! offers some unique game play not a lot of games offer. It is not exactly a game for the casual gamer, but that doesn't mean you cant pickup the game and have some fun with it for 5 minutes at a time. In the review I will go over a few things I liked and I didn't like.
First thing I noticed is the game is fairly polished. The user interface is clean and I don't feel I have to guess what everything does. It all makes sense. The graphics although are not top notch, they suite the game style and are not an eye sore. The missions in the game are kinda neat, but some of them feel as if they can drag on forever. For instance, there is a mission where you have to land your rocket on a rooftop of a building. Well, I did just that, but I didn't accomplish the mission because I actually have to hit the center of a target on the roof which takes a few tries to hit. Also some of the missions seem too difficult, there should be more then one way to solve the missions instead of a more linear path. The physics seem to be on par with what the game is trying to accomplish, but there seems to be a few things missing. Parachutes and terminal velocity seem to not be there, but for an average player, I don't think all the physics need to be there to still have fun. The rocket designer is where you design your rocket to accomplish the mission. I thought this was a nice feature, but I wish you could adjust the fuel used to make the missions easier. Overall, the game is basically a rocket simulator with some basic missions that involve the design of the rocket and steering it. If your a hardcore tinkerer, I advise to at least trying the game out. Learning Curve: Takes a second
