Bottom Line: Definitely worth playing. I'm just a fan of single player games that keep you busy. The Serious Sam franchise shows us that, you don't have to have hardcore AI in your game, to make it challenging, you just need to throw an ungodly amount of bad guys at the player. And boy do they ever.
I guess the thing that sold the first Serious Sam game was the relentless onslaught of attackers. At any given time, there are 20 enemies on the screen wanting to kill you. That's action. Sometimes it gets a little too intense, but it's an awful lot of fun to be completely surrounded by enemies, and light up a "Serious Bomb" which completely blows apart everything attacking you. My personal favorite aspect of the game is the ability to have friends join in on a multi player "kill 'em all" campaign. It's fun to get as many human players as possible, and try to mow through the entire game as fast as you can. If you like single player shoot-em-ups this game is definitely for you.
