Space Invaders Extreme is a new game by Taito that celebrates Space Invader's 30th anniversary in style. The game features updated, retro style graphics and brand new modes of play and power ups. The gameplay consists of shooting invaders as always but has some new twists to spice up the old formula. You can now string together Invaders for points combos, match different colored Invaders to gain power-ups (Bombs, Lasers and Spray Fire) and fight giant bosses as well as the various mini-games that pop up during battle. The game has already been released in Japan and is supposedly coming to the States in June of '08. Stay Tuned...
