Unreal Tournament
Upon its release in early November 1999, Unreal Tournament surprised the gaming community with its rock-solid network code, challenging single-player bot play, unique gameplay modes, and polished presentation. The critics were equally impressed and UT was awarded with Game of The Year honors by a variety of publications, including GameSpy.com and Computer Gaming World. UT was later ported to the PS2, Dreamcast, Linux, and Mac.
Years later, people are still making great modifications and add-ons for UT. One successful community spawned mod, Tactical Ops, was even recently released as an entire stand-alone commercial product.

It was all about Deck 16.

In short: It's simply the best deathmatch and CTF in any FPS ever. It was what Doom perfected right off the bat, and brings it into a new age. To date no FPS has managed to surpass the standard set by this game.

I spend countless hours gaming against bots, until reaching godlike level. We spent many many LANs playing 1on1s and CTF. It is still an awesome game. I love it. Last but not least: The splatte was cool :P.

I think my favorite map was deck 16, and favorite game mode was domination. Domination rocked. This is by far my favorite unreal game.

So much fun. The built in fat man mod was an incredible addition to the game.

I thought this game was superior to its sequel, UT2003. UT2004 came back with a lot of the original love, though, finally surpassing the "original" (was it really the "original" if it was based on the single & multiplayer game "Unreal?"

I had never heard of MultiPlayer gaming before this product. I enjoyed it so much; I joined a Team that MODed the 436 build to become Badlands. Man, that was a lot of fun, and ever since I've been plugging away at trying to get it into TGE. The Team splintered due to the Coding department not getting a good enough handle on TorqueScript, and I'm left with art assets and not much gameplay...I digress. UT Rocks! It has become a powerhouse franchise.
