A7Xpg has levels with a time limit and a goal for number of gold units to collect while not getting killed. This is the simple premise of the game. As you progress through the levels you will encounter harder enemies, and you can gain a short period of invincibility if you gather gold at high speeds (by using the ship's boost), but that is as far as the frills go.
