Aces of the Pacific was set during WWII in the Pacific theater. It included nearly every plane of the era with over 30 flyable planes. There was a persistent career mode that would take you through the course of the war with the missions. There were a variety of different missions including both dogfighting and ground assault. Also, you could fly either American or Japanese planes. To add to the realism, there were weather affects, blind spots, sun glares, and the possibility of blacking out. Aces of the Pacific was recently on IGN's top ten list of flight simulators.
