Recently, a high amount of people want games in which you can have some custom attributes to it, but still keeping good game play.

This, is that game.

Battleships forever is currently still being developed, but I have enough to talk, and rate it. The first time I played this game I said "Is this really Game Maker?" I was stunned to find out that it was. This is solely, the best Game Maker game out there.

The game play is like any other RTS game. Select your ships, tell them to attack, and watch the parts fly. The ships are easy to control and fun to watch. My main problem with the ships is that some weapons require to be fired at a certain distance. For example, if a weapon is firing at a distance of 700, it must be at 700. If an enemy starts moving to him, he wont fire, and back up. Gets on my nerves really.

What can I say about graphics? Wow. Thats all I can say. The particles for the weapons and shields are incredible. Seeing them makes me think this was not made in Game Maker. My favorite particle is, you guessed it, ships blowing up. It is amazing to see a massive explosion then parts of the ship flying every witch way.

This game is very fun and has endless combinations, I love the ship maker. I made a ship and called it Sir.Shipopolus. Its basically a bomb, with 20 lasers, dont get in its way. I also love how when you blow up the center part of a ship, the parts fly everywhere and damage your ships. Its amazing.

This game gets a 4/5 or WIN because of how stunning it is.

Easy to learn, hard to master. Replayable action-packed interstellar shootouts with more weapons than I care to shake a plasma cannon at, and multiple game modes as well as a shipbuilder and several skirmish modes for practicing or testing custom-built ships. Design your own warmachines and pit them against campaign foes or as many waves of enemies as you can manage to spawn, then sit back and watch the carnage as your ship is either decimated by, or devastates, it's enemies.

Intriguing campaign that twists and grows rapidly over the course of ten missions, though currently only the first six missions are complete, and the seventh is partially playable.

Well one thing that I can say is that this game definitely has potential to have a 4 or even 5 star rating. The reason for the 3 star however is the fact that this game at the moment plays more like a turn-based strategy game that happens to be in real time. My complaint is that the ships turn painfully slow and in the time that it takes your ship to turn around to face whatever is shooting it, the ship has already sustained a massive amount of damage. The problem is that the ships seem too "floaty" which slows down the gameplay quite a bit. The upside is that this game has the potential to be very,very good. The story is actually quite good and I didn't feel like it was just there for background noise to the game. The other thing about this game that is good is the variety of ships and the ability to use deflector shields (which gives the game an added element of strategy). The only thing as of right now that kills this game for me is the movement of the ships, it just takes too long to face your ship(s) and to fire upon the enemy. I honestly felt like I was playing a turn-based (which is fine...if it is a turn based) but the fact of the matter is it is a RTS and real time strategy is supposed to be fast and action packed (not saying that there wasn't a lot of action, because there was and good action at that, just that the action was too slow for an RTS). All in all I will wait to reserve my final opinion of this game until it is fully completed (the profile says still in development). Hopefully (I really do, actually want this game to get better because truth to tell I still enjoyed it quite a bit) the kinks will be worked out soon and this will stand as one of the best RTS games I have played (just please for the love of god create an auto-face feature so the ship doesn't constantly have to be faced in the direction of the enemies and speed up the ship's rate of speed).

This game rocks! It has space combat, great cartoon graphics, big explosions, big guns, a (shallow story but deep involvement) campaign, plenty of action, big ships, and all sorts of futuristic combat. The user-interface is awesome (especially for a Game Maker game), the graphics meet a great feel, and the game can zoom (though zooming in close can hurt the game, instead of helping it), this game deserves a spot on every gamer's hard drive. Heck, make a fake box for it and but it on your bookshelf (unless you've filled up your bookshelf, in which case you're out of luck).

Initially, I clicked on this game because I had played and enjoyed Warning Forever, and from the title and picture, it looked like it was related. However, upon unzipping and playing this game I soon found that the only common theme was similar graphics and the same dedication to awesomeness.

The first couple career missions (which I heartily encourage you to do first!) give you a feel for the game, though you'll want to look at the game info on the main menu for some nitty gritty details on shortcut keys. Battleships Forever definitely is an RTS, but think tactical strategy, not resource managing. Strategy, in fact, is the only thing that will win the match for you.

The graphics are also laudable. The levels give a nice feel of 3 dimensions, and I love the level with the big sun . . . that was sweet!

If you like space games play this game. If you like strategy games, play this game. Even if you just like free games, give it a try. I can assure you that you will not be disappointed!
