Bible Dave is a sidescroller game written in Python.

Dave was on his way to distribute newly printed Kilopowa New Testaments to a tribe who has been working hard to translate it for a number of years. They're really looking forward to receiving their Bibles, but Dave's plane goes down in the jungle. As he was crashing through the treetops, the Bibles spilled out of his plane all over the jungle. You would think this would ruin the Bibles, but it just so happens that the printer of these Bibles shrink-wrapped them in plastic, so all of these Bibles are now happily protected from the elements, just waiting for Dave to collect them and deliver them to the Kilopowa villagers.

Dave must run through the jungle, dodging denizens and collecting Bibles to bring them to the waiting tribe. His travels will take him from the leafy jungles to abandoned mines and caves and up to the mountain tops before he finally reaches his destination.
