Day of Defeat: Source
Day of Defeat: Source is a FPS style gamed themed about WWII with emphasis on the fight between Germany and the USA. This source version includes major upgrades to the physics and graphics engines with the port to the Source Engine by Valve. Though it is still very similar to the original. Combat takes place in several locations presumably in Germany. There are 2 main modes for playing. The classic Capture the Flag and the new Plant the Bomb style. Both modes carry the same risks with constant fire from either side. Each side has 5 types of soldiers: Assult and Support to name a few. Each type has their own specialty from sniper to machine gunner. Each map generally has 5 flag locations or 2 bombing targets. The goal is to either capture all flags or destroy all targets. Once you die you must wait a certain length of time then you are placed back in your spawn location and allowed to rejoin combat.

Bottom Line: It depends. Is wepon variaty importint to you? This is pritty much what it sounds like, a WWII game with the Sorce engin. It dose have a few cool thing about it, like how you can set up your hevy werever you want. Also the game looks amasing, a bit overbord on the bloom, but still pritty. But its still has its problims. For one, all of the wepons that were in the original version of the game have eather bin dumd down or simply vanished. No MG41 or a bipod for the BAR, you have a Rifle, SMG, Asult rifle, Sniper rifle, Hevy and maby a Bazuca. Also I found that the maps are pritty small, but youre probibly just going to be Camping in the same spot for a half-hour annyways, so it isint that big of a deal.
