Deus Ex
The year is 2052 and the world is a dangerous and chaotic place. Terrorists operate openly - killing thousands; drugs, disease and pollution kill even more. The world's economies are close to collapse and the gap between the insanely wealthy and the desperately poor grows ever wider. Worst of all, an ages old conspiracy bent on world domination has decided that the time is right to emerge from the shadows and take control. No one believes they exist. No one but you.

Bottom Line: Worth owning! Few single player First Person Shooters earn the respect that Deus Ex has. It's hard to imagine a play style that Deus Ex doesn't accommodate. Whether you like to jump out and overtly take aim and wreak havoc, or you're a sneak around, plant a bomb and run, kind of guy. In this game, you can do it.
The storyline is worthy of play in and of itself. The ability to increase your abilities as you progress adds an RPG twist to the game. The broad arsenal of weapons keeps you from getting bored. The Unreal Engine makes game play oddly familiar even for first timers. It just feels right. Hands down, Deus Ex provides more re-visitable action than many others of it's time, and going back and playing it again, in a different way adds entirely new dimensions to it. Definitely worth owning! Learning Curve: Takes a second
