Cave Story is a freeware sidescrolling action/adventure/platformer title with leanings towards Wonderboy and recent sidescrolling Castlevania titles. You control a little amnesiac who runs around helping out these rabbit-ish creatures called Mimigas while trying to find your way out of the giant cave inside the floating island which makes up the game's setting.

GREAT GAME! Tough with arrow keys and keyboard sometimes. Boss battles really get the adrenaline pumping. I liked the storyline choices throughout.

Incredible game. Fun storyline, multiple endings, and even a superhard ending. I actually played this game from top to bottom 6 times before I was done.
Best Modern Platform Shooter, I highly recommend it.

I just played through this and it was amazing. I was kinda pissed that the game crashed during the end cutscene. I tried twice, crashed both times right after the huge boss fights. That happen to anyone else? Oh well, still a badass game.
