Invisible War has it's moments, particularly in story telling. But coming off the success of the first game, it just doesn't quite cut it. Some of the mechanic decisions were unnecessary, the game didn't have as much freedom as the first, etc...

It's certainly different from the original Deus Ex, but nevertheless enjoyable. Great plot, great characters from the first game, great possibilities, features and The Atmosphere of Deus Ex! I also liked graphics and some of the music.

Great concept but let down by a crappy journal system. Sometimes I can only play once or twice in a month. I need reminders to tell me what I'm doing and why.

It doesn't live up to its prequel, but still, this game has been bashed out of proportions. Deus Ex 2 is one hell of a fun game. The political undertones are a big bonus.

Invisible war wasnt a complete dissapointment from the original to me. I particularly liked that they made all of the augmentations usefull enough that you could build a functional character with them. The part of the game that I was most dissapointed with, or the lack there of, was that they did not implement a skills system like they had in the original. The original's skills system was a big part of what made it such a great game, to me anyway.

Although fans of DE1 seemed to have been largely disappointed by DE2, this was my first encounter with the wonderful DE games, and I was mesmerized. Fantastic game. :)

It's nice to be able to take alternative paths in a game like this, but almost from the start I found myself losing interest in the basic premise, so no matter what courses I explored, the necessary dialogue seemed insufferably long, so that I'd almost rather have clicked past them and simply played this as a shooter.

I suppose this game was worth installing if only to enjoy the architecture and levels, but that's a rather sad comment for a sequel to one of my favorite games.

Invisible War was an interesting variation on the formula introduced in the first Deus Ex. In some ways it worked, and in some ways it didn't. The game was obviously rushed for console release, and the overall design suffered as a result. It was still an enjoyable game, but didn't feel like a "true" sequel.
