The Cybrids were thought to have been destroyed in the first Earthsiege, but this is not the case. Prometheus, the main Cybrid computer, has built a base on the moon and is constructing a massive army. He is launching an assault on the Earth, and you must put a stop to it.

Gameplay in Earthsiege 2 is very much the same as its predecessor, Earthsiege. You pilot HERCs, which are giant walking war machines. Before each battle you can outfit your HERC with different weapons and shields to better suit you for the coming objectives. You can also customize the squad that comes with you and what they are piloting. However, in addition to the 9 HERCs you can pilot, there is the air-capable Razor. The Razor is used for bombing missions, and it offers a change from walking giant HERCs all the time. There are 50 missions to occupy the player for a good amount of time.
