Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory
It's a game based on the Quake 3 engine, but it's totally different from Quake 3. It's a WWII themed FPS game, but it's not as realistic as say CoD. It has realistic textures, but the movements are Quake 3 style and it's also very fast paced like Quake 3. It's one of the best game out there in my opinion. The combination of a realistic theme with an unrealistic gameplay is just awesome. Try it out for yourself, you'll get hooked.

Bottom Line: Play it! Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory is a team-orientated, objective-based online FPS. You can choose between Axis or Allied forces in WWII. There are 6 official maps split into 2 campaigns, Europe and North Africa.
Each map has a series of objectives which must be completed to complete the goal. For example on a map called Oasis, Allied forces must take a forward spawn to push Axis back and blow a wall with dynamite. From there they must advance into the Axis garrison to blow up 2 Anti-Tank guns which are stopping the Allied tank from entering the garrison. There are other secondary objectives as well such as draining tunnels of water for an extra attack route, but these are not essential for getting the job done. There are 5 classes for each team which allow you to complete objectives. A soldier carries the heavy weapons, such as flamethrower or rocket launcher, to clear large areas. The medic revives fallen comrades and provides health packs. The engineer plants dynamite to blow objectives, or repairs vehicles, and can also plant mines. The field ops can call in airstrikes or artillary barrages, and give ammo. The final class is the covert ops, he can steal enemy uniforms to go behind enemy lines and blow defences with a satchel charge, he can also snipe and spot landmines. All this comes into a package which gives extremely rewarding teamplay backed up by amazing gameplay. While it may not look great by todays standards, it is based in the Q3 engine, it serves its purpose well. The fact that this game is still in the top 10 played games online after 3 years is phenomenal and a testament to the developers for producing such an excellant FREE game. My advice is to download this and give it about 10 hours, after that you will be hooked and baying for Enemy Territory: Quake Wars. Learning Curve: Takes a while
