Eternal Daughter is an excellent platformer from Blackeye Software.

The game casts you as Mia, a young girl born into slavery under the evil Dungaga race.

You start inside your own house which won't belong to you much longer. After an interlude you set out into the game world to try to find out who you are. Gradually you will gather new actions which will allow you to reach new places.

The game is not too easy despite the nice looks. The boss fights usually need a few tries. The game story unfolds nicely and carries you forwards to new areas and new abilities.

You don't have to find everything but you're usually rewarded well if you do try to explore thoroughly. Some of the hidden extras need quite a bit of persistance. You'll find you do quite a lot to gain just that one extra heart.

A nice gimmick: There's a hidden room showing both developers in their study.
