Bottom Line: An action packed sequel with little story, but lots of amazing gameplay
Halo 3 is the final Halo game of this story arc from Bungie, which continues the story of Master Chief- picking up around a week or so after Halo 2(its never explained how long, but the Arbiter is already on Earth when you begin), the Earth is in shambles after the Covenant finally smashed through Earths final defenses, as they now have total air supremacy and are working fast to dig up an ancient device left on Earth called the Ark.

Through your adventure, you will fight against and alongside the Covenant, the Sentinels and the Flood, but, thankfully, will no longer be playing a separate story for the Arbiter- this is once again Master Chiefs story, and it stays true. The game has a level of epic and vast battlefields for you to crush your enemies with- or play along with a friend- which, for the first time, you can play both split screen and over Xbox Live, with up to 4 players in the Campaign- creating some unique strategies as the game unfolds. The game also includes a few new weapons and vehicles, and revamps the Brute race of the Covenant

Multiplayer is also expanded- along with the traditional modes, you can now play in "Construct" mode, which allows you to morph into a Spark anytime you feel the need and are free to move things around the map and summon guns, vehicles, or even scenery into the game. Another new multiplayer mode, Infection, assigns one user with an energy sword and nothing else, forcing this user to kill close range- but each person they kill, that person switches to their side, also forced to carry the sword, in a strange Zombie like game- users will quickly fight for higher ground while fighting back all the zombie users

Theres also new powerups that users can carry with them until they wish to use them- anything from a healing bloom(or a damaging bloom) to large shield to hide behind to land mines to the bubble shield- with resists all attacks, but the enemy can still walk in and out of, turning the fight into a melee fight

Although its not perfect- the last level in particular is oddly(and ironically) spartan, and I had trouble adjusting to the new control scheme- using equipment was located on where reload used to be, causing me to lose alot of equipment accidently because I was trying to reload(and the control choices cannot change this), and Campaign can be really quickly beaten if you're adapt enough, have alot of people playing or at a low enough difficulty

Nonetheless, Halo 3 delivers to be an excellent game, and by far the best of the Halo series.
