Hidden & Dangerous
Hidden & Dangerous is a 3D action-strategy game, set during the Second World War. The player is able to control a group of Allies' paratroopers in special missions in enemy territories situated throughout Europe. Thanks to the three-dimensional depiction and chosen subject, we succeeded in dynamically combining the elements of 3D action and tactical strategy. The player can control any of four commando members from several 3D views and, at the same time, he can program on a tactical map the tasks for the rest of the team. Numerous new features and ideas give the game an original and absolutely unique atmosphere. The player is drawn right into the action.

In Hidden & Dangerous you take control over up to four soldiers in a British Special Air Service squad. You can control the game either in first of third person while moving around, and in addition to these there is an overhead tactical map view which lets you direct movements on a somewhat larger scale.
The game requires the player to plan ahead and move carefully during missions, since battles can be brief, and there is limited manpower. At the same time a player has to have some shooting skills as the planning is only part, and the execution of the plan obviously has to be brought to a successful completion as well.
The game was released as freeware to promote Hidden & Dangerous 2 in 2003. The free distribution was titled Hidden & Dangerous, and includes the full game along with an expansion pack and an in-game editor. The free version is only available for Windows.
