The all time classic, Kid Icarus.
In Kid Icarus players take on the role of Pit, who is on an epic, Metroid inspired, quest to save Angel Land from the evil Medusa and, in a Zelda style, save the goddess of light, Palutena.

Bottom Line: Play it! Kid Icarus is an NES classic now available on the Wii for download. Between the two, I prefer the NES edition as the Wii edition has removed the password system (which did have some fun cheats). The game itself plays a lot like the original Metroid, and both games did have a bit of a challenge to them. But honestly, you haven't lived until you've seen a Eggplant Wizard.
