Kleptocracy!
In Kleptocracy! you play as a thief involved in a competition with his peers to determine who the best thief in town is. A tournament has been arranged for the thieves to all enter the local acclaimed museum and obtain as many items as possible within the time limit. They will have to evade the many patrolling guards as well as the intricate security system. Luckily they're armed with several gadgets to help.

In Kleptocracy you play one of the contestants in a stealing competition. Each game is quite short (5, 10, 15, or 20 mintutes), during which you have to steal as much as you can, only things you manage to bring outside to the starting position will be added to your score. You play against a numer of computer opponents who are trying to steal as much as they can as well.
The challenge lies in getting a higher score than the computer controlled characters, and not getting busted by the secutiry guards patrolling the museum.
To help you get past obstacles you have three gadgets. First, there is a stun-gun which you can use to temporarily paralyse an opponent or a guard, or to temporarily disable laser beams hindering your progress. Second you have smoke bombs, which will block the view of guards, and finally you have a box, which you can hide in and move around in (also against guards). Each of the gadgets is limited, the stun-gun is battery driven, and you will need to find batteries to recharge it after a few uses. The grenades and boxes are one use only, and you'll have to find new ones if you want to be able to use them again.
Kleptocracy! was developed by a team of three programmers and four artists from DigiPen Institute of Technology over the course of eight months.
