This game reminds one of "Pitfall!" by its graphics which are small and blocky--but that's one of the perfect elements of the game. Truly screenshots don't capture what it's like to see the minimalistic approach in action. It's ambiance is breathtaking--sound included!

While I played this game second after the later game, "Knytt Stories," by the same developer, I found this game offered a unique experience from what I was expecting and that the two couldn't be compared.

Unfortunately, the game's replay value is more along the lines of "I think I might revisit 'Knytt' again today. . . ." after a fairly significant leave.

This game has a great feel, kinda like Mario meets Sonic in speed, with wall-climbing and whatnot. A truly great game for its graphics and feel, which compel you to both go onwards, and play around in the environments for as long as you can exploring. Sadly, after a few hours of play, the game is over all too soon. So, then you can start over again and try to beat it quicker, while marveling at the graphics! Includes a tutorial.

Knytt is a very atmospheric game with a strong emphasis on gameplay over action and violence elements. The music sets a very casual but wonderous feel to the game which is very appropriate for the game's premise: explore the world to find the missing pieces of the space ship you crash landed in. Another thing that really adds to this game is the art direction which is very simple yet vibrant and interesting and gives the games a very unique feel. The gameplay is verry solid and is based on the run/jump model with the ability to climb up walls as well as scale down them. The thing that makes this game so good is the fact that it effectively creates it's own, unique feel with the music and the visuals and then takes those elements and adds some great gameplay as well. I highly recommend this game for anyone looking to play an indie-work of art.

Knytt is a beautiful little game that brings one back to the days when games often instilled a sense of curiosity and wonder.

The minimalistic graphics are very pretty and the sparse use of music gives it that much more meaning when it plays.

It plays like a Metroid or Castlevania game - sans killing, plus cute.

Wow! What a great example of simplicity in design. Knytt is a game about exploration -- and only exploration. This might seem like it would be boring, but I haven't had this much fun for quite a while. The world seems alive and strangely alien, and you can climb and jump your character across every inch of it.

The game has a lovely retro style to it, but it's the sound and music that really bring the world to life. Knytt is great reference for how much good audio can improve your game, from the pitter patter of your feet to the ambient sounds of wind blowing through the trees. The touches of music as you travel from area, be it a city high in the clouds or a misty graveyard, always seem to be perfectly matched to the scenery.

Knytt is a very relaxing and entertaining game with a surprisingly large world just waiting to eat up your free time. Check it out!
