I played this for about 5 hours...And took it back. What a dissapointment. The colors are bland...the storys ok but the action fighting is terrible. I usually love these type of games too...Terrible...terrible boring game. I fell asleep playing it each time! I really cant see whats so great about this game. :\

Oh, and I forgot my biggest pet peeve with this game- it seems alot of the time, reguardless of your speech choice, it seems the game really has only 1 path planned.......

Also, some of the endings can be pretty lame- like how my friend accidentally killed the end boss by talking him down

Minefield, I got an HDTV BECAUSE of Mass Effect- so beautiful....

Still, I'm still shocked how short it was.....I mean, 30 hours of gameplay is alot, but I was expect 50 hours minimum...

Plus, the character stories seem to just kinda fizzle out.....I wanted a revelation with them, something about their past that blew me away....instead(for example) with the cop, you do a quick mission where you attack a crook that got away, and he's done. The Tech girl has absolutely no story whatsoever past your first talk with her(and I had her with me on every mission)- you never get to visit places of interest, like the Tech Girls space farthing race or Wrex's homeworld.....it all feels really.....incomplete.....

One of my top ten, for sure. Playing a movie has never been so true.
And one of the best endings ever.

But this game is more than its pretty, if somewhat broken graphics. The story and characters have both completely sucked me into the game world - and I just don't want it to end!

Buggy? Yeah. Brilliant? Hell yeah!

Phew! Just decided to give the 360 a break before it over heats and goes red ring o' death on me- so far, its looking pretty good, although the weapons seem pretty frustrating.....

Awesome. Although I don't know why they keep calling it a space opera. Let's just call it an amazing RPG.

Well I loved KOTOR, but KOTOR2 got boring really quick. So I've been wary of thier brand of RPG's for the last while or so, but this one is in a new class. It looks completely fantastic. I can't wait.

If you are like me, you enjoyed Knights of the Old Republic, among other Bioware titles, and went wulkie at the announcement of a space opera RPG from them.

The best analogy I can derive from what I've seen so far is a mix between Gears of War and KOTOR. The graphics look excellent.... rather bloody gorgeous.... and Bioware promises the moon with this coming RPG title.
