Bottom Line: Nothing special - have your child play PopCap Games instead...
Knowing that this game's target audience was children, makes this game "bearable" (it really is for children). With that noted, it is quite disappointing they those who target children don't leave room for them to mature onward - it would have been nice if there were many "mindless" (as I call them, since they aren't too innovative) features implemented:

High Score / Ranking System

More innovative game modes (simply put, imagine what it would look like if PopCap Games had made this - arcade, adventure, time attack, cut-throat (only able to view a card so many times))

Additional Game Mechanics; mines, wild cards, burning cards, etc

Music!

I abhor how the educational system treats children as those lower than adults; children will do what is expected of them (to a point), and if "the bar" is set so low... I know from experience that children will constantly surprise us (adults) if they are allowed to (I know many who read books that are way above their grade level, and they aren't in the "gifted" program - I believe every child has a gift (and many have gifts), but I'm digressing here I think). Sure, games should be built for children, but they should be built for the child to expand upon their already gained knowledge; why should we hinder them?

On another note, I must say the graphics is really cute and that is the only real plus to playing this game.
