Virtual Villagers is a novel take on the god-sim/RTS genre but some would say that it's held back by annoying control issues. It's not so much that the control is flawed but given the presentation, you naturally expect that the game would control like an RTS: note to players, this is not Age of Empires. Once the player reaches that epiphany the game becomes increasingly addictive as a group of ignorant island castaways evolve into a fully functioning tribal society.
