You are the future Scarab King. Your father, the Falcon King, has been murdered. Egypt has plunged into chaos, and an evil fog has covered your father's empire. Using your magical staff, you will lift the fog and rebuild the empire. Your followers will flock to you and obey your commands.

You will discover cities, build roads, and develop new technologies. Your goal is to seek out the Oasis and the Obelisk it contains, and to protect it from the barbarian hordes.

Once your presence in a kingdom is discovered, you have a limited number of turns before the barbarian horde arrives. Spend your turns wisely, develop your kingdom carefully, or watch the barbarian hordes smash it to rubble!

If your kingdom survives with the Obelisk intact, you will be able to retrieve its Glyph, and the power to restore order to the land. Earn twelve Glyphs from twelve different levels, and you will have the power to restore the empire, dispel the fog forever, and become the Scarab King.

More about Oasis

Oasis is a game which is a well balanced mix of puzzle and strategy. Each level is a ten by ten grid of land which you have to explore and get ready to defend against barbarian invaders. Each levels give you just 85 turns to get ready for the invasion.

You have to use your turns to uncover land, discover cities, mine mines, and hopefully discover the oasis. In one turn you can do one of the following: uncover one grid of land, build one grid of road, or assign ten citizens to a mine.

In a level you need to think about which pieces of land to uncover, if you need more followers (uncovering different grids give new followers, amounts based on the type of land), if you should research for new technologies, which give you a defence bonus but costs your followers and if you have time to find and uncover the oasis.

In the oasis (of which there is one in each level) there is a glyph which you need to win the game. Collect twelve glyphs and you will have won. However, glyphs are not nessesary to win any level, they are only important to this final goal.

Once you have used up your 85 turns, you have a few seconds in which you can move your citizens to certain cities before the barbarians attack. The barbarians will attack from one or more positions (different for each level), and will attack cities in order of proximity until they are defeated. If you manage to defeat the barbarians, with at least one city standing you can continue to the next level.
