Operation Block

Operation Wolf was a one-player shooter arcade game made by Taito in 1987. It featured a large gun mounted on the cabinet, which was used to clear each stage of soldiers & vehicles.

Operation Block is freeware tribute to Operation Wolf, using Lego characters, vehicles and scenery.

Development began in June 2006.
Alpha testing began in April 2007.

Well, that wasn't so bad was it?

The AC reviewer, Graham (known for his "direct reviewing style")
only used the word "sh!t" once.

Mind you - it was proceeded by the phrase "pure, pure..."
so perhaps he didn't like my explosions after all.

Perhaps. ;-)

Virtually everthing, besides some 3D models by Pebu.Harder than PlannedWell, I started this for the Retro Remakes 2006 competition.

Sadly, due to (a) Having only 2 of the 3 months available
and (b) It being my first attempt on Gamemaker
and (c) Op Wolf being fairly complex for a "first game"

...I couldn't complete it in that time frame.

BUT - I've continued, and it WILL be released in 2007.

Funny anecdote: I have always put it's release date as "before DNF", but now it looks like DNF might actually be released, so I'd better hurry!
