PseudoQuest
Thank you for visiting PseudoQuest!
PseudoQuest is a whimsical webgame set in your more-or-less typical fantasy setting. Well, typical for the fantasy genre - not that it's necessarily your fantasy. But I digress...
This game is FREE to play! Just create an account and enjoy! We're in an Open Beta, which just means that new stuff is constantly being added and there's the potential for an occasional glitch.
Please also create an account in the Forums to connect with other players, and to let us know if you find any problems or have ideas for improvement. Say 'hi!', too, while you're there!
Oh, and have fun! :)

New Content Area!!! - 1/12/07
It's been a long wait, but hopefully it's worth it. The new content area is finally finished! If you've finished the last of Lord Such-and-Such's quests, you'll want to head up to Port Royale to get one more quest from him.
Also, there's a postmortem written up over in the forums. Be sure to check it out!
Back to normality, such as it is - 11/4/07
The last of the Halloween monsters has slid back into whatever dark, slimy crevice it had emerged from. Those of you on side quests to slay them have had your quests cleaned up. Thanks for participating!
Halloween Monsters Winding Down - 11/1/07
Looks like the monstrous threat from Halloween is slowing down. No doubt all the candy farming has taken its toll on the local Halloween monster population. At current estimates, they probably won't last more than another day or two, so get in there and start poaching some candy already, before they're gone for the year!
More Halloween Goodies! - 10/27/07
Special Halloween-themed clothing is now available in the clothing shops! Also, all Gold shops now carry all items, all the time. Woot!
Halloween Time is Here! - 10/26/07
Spooky Halloween monsters have infested the entire world, bringing with them all kinds of goodies! Oh, sure, you probably won't get any real questing done, what with all that candy around, but hey! Free candy!
Be sure to get your spook on before next weekend, 'cuz when it's gone, it's gone.
Fixed registration - 9/26/07
Ack! Can't do big changes in a beta without breaking something, I guess. Those of you who saw a big popup when trying to register should try registering again, as this problem has been corrected.
Major update today - 9/25/07
This weekend saw me with enough time to dedicate over 11 hours towards PQ development in one go. You'll want to check out the forums for a complete list, but I'm sure that you long-time players will appreciate all the polish that went into this update.
PvP now available in all towns! - 9/14/07
The PvP test in Port Royale proved to be a success, so PvP is now available in all existing towns! Have at you, then!
Improved Registration for Forums - 9/1/07
I've replaced the CAPTCHA image process on the forums to cut down on the spam being generated there. If you have any problems registering, please contact me at xaroth a[t] utimegames [dot] com and I'll do what I can to help out.
First PvP Arena in Port Royale - 8/12/07
In the northwest corner of Port Royale, there's a house you can enter that you couldn't before. Meet up there for a secret Club of Fighting.
This is a very new feature, so please give your feedback in the Forums! Once you've all had a chance to play with it for a while, more of these will open up throughout the realm.
Custom Webskins Now Available! - 6/24/07
Head over to Frank's Fabulous Fashions in Smallsville to check it out! You can preview styles before buying them, and mix and match them once you've got 'em.
Major mapping update - 6/17/07
We're getting down to just a handful of minor bits that need to be cleaned up here and there, but this update puts us very close to having 100% professionally-done artwork, and even puts a lot of (inaccessible for now) work in on the new content area. Calais, the Dreary Mountain Cave, and Port Royale all got the new artwork treatment (though Port Royale still has a bit left to go).
Enjoy!
New look, interface tweaks - 5/20/07
It's both minor and major, in its own ways. In any event, if you notice any interface weirdness, please let me know in the Forums, since it's probably something I just didn't catch when revamping things.
Weclome to PseudoQuest! - 5/18/07
We've officially launched the open beta, after a year and a half of development! The launch party has begun in the pub in the starting town, so come join us! I'll be randomly giving things away throughout the evening, but you gotta be present to win. ;)
LAUNCH PARTY ON THE 18th! - 5/3/07
It's been a long, strange ride to get to this point, but we're finally approaching the initial public release of the game. Woot!
On May 18th, during the day, there'll be an unofficial pre-launch party at The Drunken Dragon, in Smallsville. At around 5pm PST (no guarantees on the time here, though!), the game will enter maintenance mode, everyone will be reset, and then the official launch party will begin! In-game giveaways will be distributed to any players present!
We'll see you at The Drunken Dragon on release day!
