| Gameplay Programming | Lived in my cube | I remember working on the Mother Tyhrranoid boss for a period of almost four months. So many rewrites, the gameplay wasn't fun, and nothing was going right. It was a multi-tiered boss fight where you fought the boss a bit, get chased to a new arena, and then finish it off. The chase was one of the hardest things to get working, until I suggest that we have a "boss view" camera for that section. The transition cutscenes between the normal boss battle into the "boss view" cam sealed the deal, and then it was all worth it. |
