Roach Toaster is an original (no really) freeware, turn based strategy game made in Game Maker.
It has bad graphics but awesome gameplay... Who cares?
Take control of an elite team of soldiers to destroy the neighbourhood's roaches.

Roach Toaster was developed for a game development competition back in september 2005. It won it. After that I continued work sporadically up to January 2006.
In August this year, it won an international game development competition. I got 3 programming books for it.
It received rave reviews to where I uploaded it. Most of it looked like this.
"Awesome gameplay. Never seen something like it before, but bad graphics."
"Excellent design! Most fun I have played in ages".
A sequel is in development with much more awesome features and *coughbetter graphics.
