Overall Rating: well done

Bottom Line: Good platformer/puzzler game with a dash of RPG.
I have to say that even though this is a good game I am still scratching my head over the hype surrounding it. I liked the mixture of platform/puzzler and RPG and found the light hearted graphics and story to be very well done but I just didn't see this game being as great as most reviews I have read make it out to be. I found the gameplay to be good and well balanced and the only thing I can say for the controls is that there was a little bit of looseness when it came to navigating the game's protagonist Asimov, which made him somewhat more difficult to control but nothing to really speak of. The game is basically a puzzler with some platform and RPG elements thrown in for good measure. This game really reminds me of a glorified version of Sokoban with better graphics and more story and added gameplay elements. Your objective is to basically go from one room to the other and manipulating blocks into the desired object to continue on the next scenario in the game. One thing that was really fresh about this game was your ability to "ghost" which allowed Asimov to access a rogue droid's internal matrix and to navigate the circuits and fight enemies in a turn-based mini-RPG game. In this mini-game you are provided with the classic RPG set-up: a health bar, a special meter, and a items menu to heal, attack and manage your party. This feature provided the game with a very welcome extra dimension of gameplay. If you are looking for a casual jaunt through a very graphically appealing puzzler then this is the game for you, it is just not the indie-phenomenon that some reviews would lead you to believe. It is a good game for sure, and is worth at least a look at, so download the demo and come to your own conclusion.
