Scarab of RA
Released in 1987 by Semicolon Software, this shareware adventure game for the Mac was an instant success.
You play the role of an archaeology student entering the newly-discovered Great Pyramid of RA the Sun-God. Your objective is to explore the pyramid and devine its secrets.
The goal of the game is to gain prestige and, of course, to survive the creatures and puzzles the pyramid throws your way.
The interface is point-and-click, and is reminiscent of the original Wizardry.
