Bottom Line: It depends. Preference, really. Skies of Arcadia was re-released for the Gamecube. That's the version I'm reviewing. The first thing to be noticed is the dated graphics - Sega didn't make any improvements to the DreamCast RPG when it made its way to the Cube. Despite this though the game still looks reasonably good. Battles are very fun but are TOO frequent, which is a very tedious and painful thing. The concept of color elements is neat. Certain colored weapons may do more damage to certain enemies and less to others. Neato! The inclusion of ship-battles is nice, and while it's tedious at first it quickly becomes an enjoyable addition that requires players to truly plan their moves and predict what they're opponent will do. Despite being a dated port this is still a worthy addition to the Gamecube family.
