Simply put, Super Smash Brothers: Melee never gets old. It's faster paced than the original, but has the same, simple premise: Deal blows to your opponents to increase their percentage, and eventually knock them off the map.

The game has plenty of things to do and items to unlock, but the real greatness of the game is in the multiplayer. Up to four players (Human or computer) can play at once, and the wide variety of characters and maps gives the game immense replay value.

Even though the game's premise may seem too simple, and the game nothing more than a "button masher", there is real skill involved in the game, and winning a game rarely has much to do with luck.

I know I've spent far too much of my young college career playing this game. Get this game. And if your friends refuse to play it with you, get new friends. Believe me, you'll be happier when you do.
