So good I decided to download the demo twice and am considering writing a review.

This game is a bit of a disappointment. I have a huge fan of merchant and trade-oriented games. Unfortunately this games comes across as being to shallow. The trade system and economic are nice but it try to be too much of an action game and kills the whole thing. First the games are way too short ( cant really get into the game ). And from what i have seen even the other modes will be quite short ( all games are based on time-limited challenges ). I would have loved to buy this game if it offered more involving and evolving gameplay. Well the arcade feel of this game (go around a station and find free cargo yay! *cough*cough*).
This game could have been something. Your UI is really nice, the graphics are nicely polished ( well enough for a webgame ). I am just saddened that it could have been so much more ( ship management, owning busnisses, pirates etc ). Well its fun for a quick play but i really really doubt it is worth the to play theyr full version since its just a bit more than what you will experience in the demo. Unless someone can prove me wrong.

You can't fight other players, you compete by seeing who has the highest score. And the games are hosted by players, so they start a server, some people join, and they have a game.

can you fight other players? Bounty missions?

The name is a coincidence, but we ended up trademarking before we even found out about the Palm game! Maybe we'll include a copy of it and embed a palmOS emulator in the game...

Very Nice! I too was expecting a long dl and sign up process. The way you set up the bounty hunter missions is great. I like the idea that you not only can explore to different planets to trade, but you can explore within those stations as well.

So is this at all inspired by the awesome Space Trader for Palm OS ( http://www.cs.unimaas.nl/p.spronck/picoverse/spacetrader/STDownload.ht » ml ), or is the similar name just a coincidence? :)

I'm addicted to this game.. I suck at it, but its still fun.

the demo/beta only includes 3 planets. more will be available with the full version :)

how do you get to farther planets? i can only get to earth, that space station, and the moon.

This is awesome! I joined the beta thinking there'd probably be a huge dload and enrolment process, I was actually playing within about a minute! Stunning! I'm really impressed with the slickness of this game and the bounty hunter missions are fantastic.

I tried to play space trader on both Firefox and IE and it didn't work either time even after installing and restarting. :(
