More About The Repopulation
The Repopulation is a post-Apocalyptic massive multiplayer SciFi RPG. Innovative features include:
- Dynamic quest system. All quests are generated from a large template. The NPCs, the locations and steps along the way are random.
- Dynamic spawn system. Monsters are spawned on a need to use basis, and based on the characters who are in an area, in combination with the areas environment. You will never have to deal with the lack of monsters or the issue of dealing with hundreds of monsters in a small area, whose sole purpose is to be killed.
- Every NPC in the game has moods, relationships and personalities. Your actions can affect their relationships and moods, and open up new quests for yourself or other players.
- Player created societal systems. Every city and territory is owned by a society. These can be stock societies or player created ones. Each society can set their own laws and rules based on a template system. Societies can elect their officials, and choose from multiple government types.
- Player created content. Create your own vehicles, quests, dungeons, cities, items and homes.
- Player driven PVP. Societies set the laws in any given region. For example PVP might be completely outlawed in one area, be allowed for warring factions in another, and be completely free for all in the next. Societies can then go to war with one another over land masses, and the controlling party can set the laws in their owned areas.
- Player created tournaments. Players can set rewards and host tournaments and let the system manage them. This includes combat tournaments with a large rule set, racing events and we hope to expand it to other game types post-release.
- Advanced PDA system allows for easy communications, e-mail and quick browsing of help wanted ads. No more running around speaking to random NPCs in an effort to find quests suitable for your character.
- Skills driven advancement, rather than level based allows for a wider variety of character options. With over 125 different skills to choose from, and many abilities in each skill tree, no two characters will be the same. In addition to this, the abilities are learned traits which depend on a certain skill level, and you learn the abilities through your achievements in the world. Not every character with the same rifle skill will have the same abilities for example. Depending on who they have trained with, and on what they have accomplished they may have two completely different specializations.
Free accounts and varying levels of subscription will be available at release. Pay only for the features that you want, and at a fraction of the cost that you have come to expect from other offerings on the market.
