Toxic Bunny

Toxic Bunny is a DOS-based action computer game released in 1996 by Celestial. Celestial changed to Twilyt Productions in 2001.

Toxic Bunny was released in November 1996 and did more than 150k units world wide. It was translated into French, Polish, Dutch and German.

The game featured cutting edge technology for the time: shadows, lighting, parallax scrolling and transparency to name a few. But all in all that was just a distraction compared to the intense arcade style game play! And the amount of coffee consumend remains legendary.

The premise of the game is that a bunny named Toxic has been transformed and is in a very bad situation. The game covers more than four large levels in which Toxic hunts the person (or animal) who is responsible for interrupting his coffee break, brainwashing all his friends, and covering the planet with a toxic goo.
Many say the game is a psychedelic parody of Epic Game's character, Jazz Jackrabbit, due to similar gameplay.

Work is progressing on a port to Java by the original team that developed Toxic Bunny in 1996.
