An fair game, but you need some people to play with.

Possibly the best free online FPS. Really fun. Seems unbalanced on first impressions and is hard to master. Once you do it's very fun.

I personaly really like this game. It requires some thought in layout or the base, and the whole new perspective of the aliens brings something great and fun to the game.

As someone who used to play this game a lot I'm going to have to say that I disagree with all of what Eric has said, this game is great.

Hmm, this rating system is bogus. The guy below me, or above me, depending on how things are placed here. Has a valid oppinion and he's rated down for it. This game is fun, but it has it's problems, most of which were already stated.

By the despair and hopelessness of tribes, I mean the situation where your base is blown up and the enemy is all over you and you can't rebuild your base because you're getting killed and you can't kill the enemy because you have no base and no weapons.

Finally, spawn points must be built for you to spawn so you end up in the situation where there is one guy on your team left and everyone else is dead and waiting for him to build a spawn point so they can live. At this point, the game is basically over because it is extremely difficult to recover, but you can can go on floundering like this for minutes on end. It is pain.

An imaginary friend of mine forced me to play this and it was horrible. The weapons are unbalanced, ineffective and unsatisfying. Gameplay problems abound. Visibility is poor. It has all of the despair and hopelessness of tribes with none of the maneuverability or exciting combat.
