Trevik
This is a student project I made over the course of 3 months. The first 2 months, I didn't spend a lot of time on it. I originally intended to have 10 levels with a storyline having the main character collect parts to build a new PC, but I quickly decided that would be too much for one person to accomplish and had to cut out a lot of the things I wanted to include. What is left is a fully playable, 2 level platformer. Sorry the boss at the end doesn't attack you! (I got distracted by a new project and haven't had the desire to complete this game the way I wanted to.)

Bottom Line: This is a fun way to spend 20-30 minutes. Trevik is a fun, quirky, easy to learn game. It is a classic platformer game in 3d and Trevik is given a hand-blaster that straps to the back of his hand. He leaves his fantasy island home in search of parts to build the ultimate gamer PC.
The programming in this game is wonderful! Although the enemies don't have much for AI, for this being a 3 month class project, the game at least has life in it with the moving enemies. The gameplay programming seems flawless, and the UI programming is perfect. The levels are fun and challenging and uniquely designed. The gameplay is easy to understand and learn. The models are very low poly, and thus could use some improvement, however this game will play on much lower-end machines as a result. If I had learned a system of turning up your graphics and replacing models with higher poly ones and textures with more detail, I would have loved to do that. As is, the textures in this game are dull and lacking detail, more models could have been created for variety and uniqueness, and the animations need some work. Overall, this is a wonderful game for it being created from scratch by one individual student in college in only 3 months. Kudos! Learning Curve: Instant!
