From when I was a kid, from about 4 years until almost high school, I loved playing top-down shooters. Many people know why these were appealing - mindless, destructive fun. Blasting away at endless numbers of enemies numbs the brain and leaves a great feeling of satisfaction.
However, when talking with friends, what do you say about these games? "Wave 28 was so cool" is not something you heard very often. You inevitably end up chatting about the infamous boss fights. How you figured it out, found it's patterns, and blasted it.
Being older, I don't find very much fun in those waves of enemies anymore, but new boss fights are always fun. Not only do they incorporate the fun of destruction, but it adds that extra dimension to the fight, because it's not a simple battle.
That's what this game is all about. The description says "all bosses" but I think it's more than that. The way the bosses adapt to how you're playing, keeps this game from being repetitive.
Though I wish for more than one weapon, and more "types" of bosses, this is a complete game that any gamer nostalgic of the likes of "Raptor" or any arcade-shooter should try.
