In WipEout Pure, you take part in a futuristic racing league known as the FX300 Racing League.
You take control of incredibly fast hovercrafts on tight, cornering tracks, vying for first place in one of many tournaments. There are eight anti-gravity vehicles available for you to use, each with their own characteristics in speed, handling and acceleration.
There are a total of sixteen tracks to race on: twelve designed from the ground up for the PSP, as well as four classic Wipeout tracks. Each track has it's own obstacles, as well as weapon pickups and speed boosters.
WipEout Pure features wireless play over ad-hoc mode (PSP-to-PSP).
If you're stuck for something to do at the end of March this year, you could do worse than attend the European Wipeout Convention 2007 in Amsterdam. With over a dozen top European pilots already intending to be there over the weekend of March 23rd, it should be an event to remember.
