My top favorite games of all time (not necessarily the best games, just ones that are my favorites)

Play Contra
Contra

It's probably one of the most frustrating games that I've ever played long enough to be able to beat without dying.

Play Street Fighter II: The World Warrior
Street Fighter II: The World Warrior

I played this game starting with my sister when I was young, and now as I've gotten a bit older, I've learned that it's not just button-mashing. Capcom made a very well-balanced fighting game with this one.

Play Donkey Kong 64
Donkey Kong 64

I got my N64 with DK64 (bundled) and this was the first 3D game that I ever beat. It took me a long time and really got my feet wet with large adventures.

Play Super Smash Bros. Melee
Super Smash Bros. Melee

Can this game every get tiring? So many different characters. Levels that actually change the game when you play on them (unlike most fighting games out there). Oh, and there's that small fact that you get to fight using Nintendo characters (or characters that have games on Nintendo consoles).

Play Perfect Dark
Perfect Dark

This game took away many hours of my life. It was one of the first games that I wanted to beat on the hardest difficulty but just couldn't, which meant that the replay value was huge for me. The multiplayer was even better than the campaign, with great levels and even better simulants. The customization options were so vast, that you could easily play over 100 games and not play with the same customization twice.

Play Alone in the Dark
Alone in the Dark

Other than Super Mario Bros., it's probably the only video game that my mother played, and that's probably because I was too afraid to do it at the time (probably because of how realistic those graphics are >_>).

Play Buffy the Vampire Slayer
Buffy the Vampire Slayer

It's a good game that no one plays (why? Because it's based on the TV show that most people detest and it's on a system that gets mocked by many). Yes, it's true, I'm a big fan of the show and that is a big reason for it being on this list, but I still think it's a great game with or without the license.

Play Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 4
Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 4

It's the best in a series filled with good games. I know that it's just a sports game, but the replay value of this game is too great to ignore. This is the only Tony Hawk game that I was compelled enough to find every gap.
