My Indie/Retro Gamelist
A gamelist by Robert Dowlinga collection of current independent and lost but not forgotten games of the past in one easy list!
Darwinia
This is a great game, other then its simplistic beauty and sound, its 'gameplay' is simply fun. Has a steady learning curve to keep you challenged throughout.
Aquaria
This is a very well rounded game, beautiful sound, pleasing on the eye, and comfortable controls. I've only played the Demo though, will buy the game when I have a chance to put some time into it.
Flipside
I love the idea behind this, I do find the controls a little tricky (as basic as they are) but the ragdollishness of the character can get frustrating at times.
MOONSTONE - A HARD DAYS KNIGHT
I have great memories of this game, playing it on the Amiga. I remember parts of it scaring the buggery out of me, like the boar gunning across the screen, and the swamp roots...thingy, that had it's own little jingle.
Dune II
My first introduction to the rts, again on the Amiga. I remember I had a stereo hooked up, I'd be playing late at night and every time I build a new building you would hear a 'Booom'. the next day the neighbour from down stairs would say, "did you hear that thunder last night?"
Really was a great game.
EyeBall
Oh man, this game was the first C64 game I heard speech in a soundtrack, "eyeball!" and what a cool little track it was. The game play was ok, graphically resembled pong.
